I was inpatient for 13 days. 99.8% of nurses and Dr's were great. Some of the nurses assistants were not very professional or helpful. Kitchen would forget condiments, creamer and some items often.

My doctor and surgical team from the women and children's day hospital were amazing! I also had fabulous nurses and PCTs during my 2 night post surgical stay here :) Tammi and Toyin were incredible nurses - they both were so kind and attentive! I was really scared and nervous about my procedure and recovery, and every single staff member I interacted with helped put me at ease. Thank you all so much for taking good care of me!

RN Brittany and Wendy are absolutely amazing nurses in the Mother Baby unit. From the moment they walked into our room, they brought a sense of calm, comfort, and genuine care that made such a difference during a vulnerable time. Both of them took their time explaining everything, answering every question with patience, and making sure we felt confident as new parents. Brittany was incredibly attentive and compassionate—she anticipated our needs before we even expressed them and always made sure both mom and baby were comfortable. Wendy was just as exceptional, offering guidance, reassurance, and emotional support when we needed it most. Their bedside manner, professionalism, and kindness went far beyond expectations. We are truly grateful for the care they provided. Nurses like Brittany and Wendy are what make the Mother Baby unit feel safe, supportive, and unforgettable. They are absolute gems, and we can’t thank them enough for everything they did for our family.

They were so kind and attentive to my daughter and I. Answering any questions we may have had and going over everything thoroughly. Tana was one of my daughters nurses and she was absolutely AMAZING! Thank you to her entire care team ❤️

I want to sincerely thank nurse Edita and lactation consultant Maria for their incredible support and care. Edita is very attentive, kind, and professional—she always finds the right words, calms you, and helps in any situation. With her, you feel completely in safe hands. Maria is a true professional in her field. She explains everything in detail, patiently answers all questions, and helps make breastfeeding stress-free. Thanks to her, I feel much more confident and calm as a mom. I also want to express my gratitude to the clinic and the entire staff. Everyone is so welcoming, compassionate, and dedicated. From the front desk to the nurses and specialists, each person makes sure patients feel cared for and supported. This clinic truly goes above and beyond to create a positive and safe environment for new parents. I am very grateful to all of you for your care, support, and kindness. You are doing an incredibly important job ❤️

I had a really nice experience with all the nurses and doctors. My husband had to go to ER for abdominal pain and results showed that he had pancreatitis and had to stay for 5 days. He was at the beginning in the ICU for 3 days and the other 2 at regular room. Everyone was really nice and professional at the same time. They always answer all my questions and concerns at the moment. We live in Elgin but family and friends had mentioned that they had a great experience at this hospital. They weren’t wrong.

Outstanding care! From ER staff to the staff on floor 6, to every Doctor and specialist that took care of me. They care, they explain things in detail, and take your well being very seriously!

Two of my kids got hospitalized at Ascension Saint Alexius and it was the best treatment you can have from them.! They love their patients and take well good care of them. They are so nice and sweet and definitely have patience. They check in on you often to how your doing consistently asking if you need something or need anything at all to make us as comfortable as possible and I love that. Pediatric center has the best care for the babies and everyone else.!

The staff of the hospital were very helpful and kind. Thank you 🙏 Dina for explaining to me how to navigate myself back to the visiting area. I was quite surprised that the wonderful and beautiful ladies offered all the visitors snacks (bottle water or bag of chips) while we waited for our loved ones. They have a screen on the wall that tells you the status of patient. The Ascension Saint Alexius Chapel 💒 was very beautiful that included detailed sculptures, mosaic window art work, a peaceful area. ❤️ Thank you to the nurses, doctors, all the hard working staff and family of the Ascension Saint Alexius hospital you are all very appreciated! 🏥 🙏
